The International Scientific Forum of Young Scientists dedicated to the problems of Russian studies was held in Beijing. The event was organized by the Research Center of Russian Studies of the Beijing Pedagogical University at the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Scientists from Central Asia and Russia were invited to the forum. From NISI KR took part a research fellow Chalbaeva A. In the report, she spoke about the institute's activities, as well as the development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and China and the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road".

The main purpose of the forum was to discuss the development of the "One Belt and One  Road" initiative. Scientists from China shared the opinion that for the development of the initiative, mutual understanding among the young people of the countries united by the initiative is necessary. The forum discussed issues of cultural exchange and interaction of representatives of the younger generation of countries participating in the initiative.

As part of the program, at the request of the Chinese side, NISI KR representative held guest lectures for postgraduate students and senior students of the Beijing Pedagogical University with a view to acquaint Chinese students with the Kyrgyz Republic, the activities of the institute and bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and China.
